If you don't like the content...don't buy the magazine! I LOVE glossies...I get inspired by outfits, colours, photos and people. I have never read a magazine and felt crap because of it. And I am a size 14 and far from gorgeous.<br />If people aren't buying it, then the magazines will have to re-evaluate their content and what does sell. You can't please everyone all of the time, and what resonates with one reader will be considered rubbish by another. So you pick and choose what you want. Aint free will grand?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2042413869472011551.post-17022777305202865522010-07-15T13:17:15.593+10:002010-07-15T13:17:15.593+10:00Hi Erica

Case in point - a 3pp feature in Real Simple showing one how to achieve a no-makeup look in 8 easy steps for $211. Cos you're not good enough without makeup for a real no makeup look. I find the Lifestyle You channel also falls into this category. The Sydney magazine usually makes me want to slash my wrists (and I'm its core demographic). I could go on. And you're right - we don't do it deliberately but it's so important to get out of that ivory tower and remember that not everyone wears heels everyday or thinks handbags are important etc, etc, etc Phew! Glad to get that off my chest.JDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06142373630651802990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2042413869472011551.post-77362065162985887792010-07-15T11:55:51.185+10:002010-07-15T11:55:51.185+10:00I too have been feeling the same way (about Sunday...I too have been feeling the same way (about Sunday Life in particular). I have recently been through a life-changing break up and look to magazines and newspapers for escapism, affirmation and new ideas. I don't want to read about cheating, why my relationship went wrong or how much I need to do in order become a size 6. More positivity please!!! (This blog is a ray of sunshine... the criticism is not directed at GWAS).JKAnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2042413869472011551.post-21355144226041780942010-07-15T10:24:36.375+10:002010-07-15T10:24:36.375+10:00Hello :)
